Yak-36, A.S.Yakovlev 'Freehand'
E xperimental VTOL fighter. The Yak-36 had a large split nose intake, with the engines
fitted in the front fuselage, and the two rotating nozzles below the wings. In hover is was controlled by small 'puffer'
nozzles at the wingtips, tail and in the enormous nose probe.
